Hi' I don't houseclean anymore.I have every so often pulled the sofa front and sweep take all cushions off the soda and sweep there .I guess I have a good sweeper too. When I get a feeling I clean all the drawers in 1 room and then the next room another week and closets too.Just doing alittle here and there all year long makes me feel less stressed .But I have learned that life is too short we need to focus on the most important things and not be caught up in the nit picky things.Whats a few dust bunnies compared to the time spent with family.I'm not saying be dirty housekeepers just remember to keep it simple you'll enjoy life alittle more.

please, please come spring clean for me. My house is "growing" dirt. And the messy closets and drawers just scream at me. But what a good feeling for you to have your living room done. i hope you have the energy to continue. =)

Yeah for spring cleaning!!! Our couch also "grows" very interesting things!! I was so hoping to do a thorough cleaning here next week but alas our bathroom is being remodeled and w/ all the dust flying and tracking in and out it would do no good--spring cleaning will have to wait til we rejoice over a finished bathroom!! As a fellow overseas worker I enjoy reading your blog, spring is also in the air in our country of Mongolia. The way the rugs here are cleaned at least in our neighborhood . . . we have a school in front of our apartment that has a non-busy driveway in front of it and they scrub their rugs with soap and water. It's alot of work to haul the water and scrub but it sure does get them clean. The other day I found a sheep ankle bone under our couch! It part of a game they play here, so it's not as bad as it sounds!

My wife has been off her feet for nearly six months now. She had a partial hip replacement and on Monday she will go in for a total knee replacement. It wasn't until she could not keep the house that I realized just how much work it is...and I confess I am not very good at it...so I was glad to hear that you had a thousand dust bunnies and other assorted items under your couch! Now I don't feel quite so bad. With working all day, I don't have much energy to put into the house. I try, but I'm afraid my wife is going to go into a cleaning frenzy once she is back up and able to do so! At least we must be building up quite an immune system this way!?
